Parents’ Association
The Parents’ Association consists of all parents/guardians of a child or children attending the school.
Our aim is to work together with all the stakeholders of the school –the principal and staff, the Board of Management, the children and the whole school community to build an effective partnership between home and school.
It is hoped to work together in a supportive environment to enable parents to be positive and active in the best interests of their children’s education.
The Parents’ Association Committee
Each year 4/5 members will be elected to the committee. The purpose of the committee is to manage the responsibility of the parents’ association on behalf of all parents. From these representatives, parents are asked to nominate and elect a chairperson, secretary and treasurer.
It is important and encouraged that all parents attend meetings so that your valuable input can be received. It is your opportunity to voice ideas and suggestions which may prove invaluable for the betterment of the parents association and the wider school experience for your child.
N.B. It is important to note that the Parents’ Association is not a forum for complaint against any individual parent or teacher. Should you have any such concerns the school does operate an open door policy and the class teacher and principal are available to discuss privately with you, any issues you may have.
The Parents’ Association are happy to support, advise and represent parents on general issues, relevant to all attending the school.
